1981 saw the introduction of the revised Series 80 range with the MA18, MA66 and MA83.
The MA18 was the improved compact high efficiency model with high power handling, minimal colouration and compatible with amplifiers delivering 10 or more watts per channel. The MA83 was the new Studio Professional which saw outstanding accuracy, sustained high levels of sound and powerful and extended low frequency range. The MA66 was the improved high efficiency model that employed the latest development in cone technology.
