In 2000 Monitor Audio’s Studio series was replaced by a new Gold Reference range, which included the Gold Reference 10, 20, 60 and Centre.
The Gold Reference speakers were one of the first to feature the new RST technology. These speakers also featured Puresound Crossover, pure silver internal cabling and a new die-cast alloy chassis design. This range also utilised a new Gold Tweeter, pure silver internal cabling and die-cast alloy chassis design. What Hi-Fi award the Gold Reference 20’s with a 5-star review describing them as “immensely accomplished”.
