System R range - R300, R352, R852, R952 – 1981

The R system expands to include the R300 M/D, R352 M/D, R852 M/D, R952 M/D. The System R range was considered as Monitor Audio’s fastest most dynamic speaker range. HiFi Review described the R852 as “detailed” and “dynamic”. The R952 was designed in a tower-like shape which was a popular style choice at the time. “This is a speaker that brings out the subtle nuances of a performance and a recording. Nothing is lost” concluded Stereophile’s Sam Tellig.
