Reference Gold Series – 1988

1988 saw the introduction of the Reference Gold Series which included the MA1200, MA1800 and MA700. The range utilised the world’s first gold metal dome and were renowned for their precise imagery and mid-range accuracy. The MA1200 was praised for it’s “ability to produce imaging and incredible bass reproduction” by Hi-Fi News. The MA700 was praised for it’s large sound despite it’s compact size.
