London Grammar | Ministry of Sound Recordings
English indie pop band London Grammar introduce The Greatest Love, their fourth studio album. Arriving over a decade after their debut album If You Wait (2013), The Greatest Love was set to "celebrate a new chapter as they leave their past behind them”. Although it sticks with their signature sound, the production and lyrics don’t follow their previous work and whilst it moves at a slow pace, its what we’ve come to expect from London Grammar. Still, stunning piano and acoustics go hand in hand with Reid's haunting vocals throughout, and London Grammar continue to move in the right direction.

Foxing | Many Hats Distribution
Foxing is the self-titled fifth studio album by the American indie rockers. One of the most acclaimed bands in the modern indie rock scene, they take a big leap on a strikingly experimental record. Discussing the decision to self-title, vocalist Conor Murphy said “I think it’s the most introspective album in terms of our band itself. It’s kind of the band looking in the mirror more so than me individually.” Powerful drums, huge crescendos, clever hooks and plenty of screams. The Missouri band have had a wonderful evolution. Exciting, abrasive and unpredictable, it’s up there as one of the best albums of the year.

Jamie xx | Young
Recorded over a four year period, James xx describes the inspiration behind his second studio album, saying “I think I basically just went back to how I started making music when I was a teenager, which was listening to the music of my youth, which was basically soul music, jazz music, and sampling and doing production similar to how I was when I was starting out”. With its pulsating rhythms, it’s a bold electronic record that effortlessly flows, rivalling its successor, In Colour. With an interesting soundscape, In Waves is a remarkably eclectic mix of sounds and guests, which is abstract, creative and polished to perfection.
